A board with the money on it.

This one runs on made-up traffic for a made-up product. Sort Arrivals by revenue: the loudest source is not the one that pays.

Demo data, built from a fixed seed. It goes through the same counting as a real site; its days are cut at midnight UTC, yours are cut on your own clock.

A live pill for your own site.

Show the numbers where your visitors are. One line of HTML puts this on any page: who is on your site right now, visitors in the last 30 days, and a way through to your board.

  1. 01

    Make your board public

Boards start private. One switch on your board opens a read-only copy that anyone with the link can see, revenue included. Switch it off and it closes again.

  2. 02

    Paste the pill

The same switch hands you one iframe tag. The pill is a bare 2 KB page: no framework and no fonts to fetch, so your site pays almost nothing to carry it.

  3. 03

    It keeps itself current

The numbers refresh every half minute. The lamp is lit while someone has been on your site in the last five minutes, and the link opens your public board.

The pill above is a sample on the demo’s made-up traffic; yours shows your own numbers.

How it counts.

Five rules. Everything on the board is worked out from the same hits, so the numbers agree with each other.

  1. 01

    No cookie, no banner

A visitor is a hash of the site, the IP address and the browser, and it changes every midnight UTC. The address goes into the hash and is never stored. Nothing is written to the visitor’s device.

  2. 02

    The arrival is read once

The first page of a visit says where it came from: the referrer, or the utm, ref and via tags on the link. Search, social, AI answers, email, paid, referral or direct, from fixed tables. No model guesses.

  3. 03

    Paths, not query strings

Only the path of a page is kept. Query strings carry tokens and email addresses, so they are read for campaign tags and thrown away.

  4. 04

    Money follows first touch

A goal or a sale is credited to the source that first brought that visitor in. By default that means the same day. Add data-persist to the tag and the credit holds for as long as the browser remembers.

  5. 05

    Machines are dropped

Headless browsers, crawlers and monitors are not counted. Neither is a copy of your tag running on someone else’s domain.

The country comes from the network edge that receives the hit. A rotating hash cannot follow one person across days, so over a month the visitor count is the sum of each day’s visitors.

What you get.

  • One tag, under 3 KB

Unminified and readable: view source and check what it sends. No dependencies and no cookies. The only identifier is the daily hash described above.

  • Goals in one attribute

Put data-sk-goal on the button that matters, or call signalkit("purchase", { revenue: 29 }) when the payment clears. The amount is added up as you send it.

  • A board, private or public

Visitors, revenue, conversion, bounce and session time against the period before, with arrivals, pages, places and machines underneath. The link is the login until you choose to make it public.

  • Free to 10,000 hits a month

Per site. Past that the counter stops until the month turns over. Nothing already counted is deleted.

The board shows where it leaks.
